Our Procedure: Millet Cultivation Stages

1. Germination and Seedling Stage

Duration: 4–10 days after sowing Seeds are carefully prepared and sown, ensuring proper water absorption for germination. Healthy seedlings emerge, marking the start of the crop's life cycle.

2. Vegetative Stage

Duration: 15–40 days after sowing During this phase, we focus on rapid leaf growth and tillering to establish a strong foundation for the crop. Nutrient management plays a vital role here.

3. Tiller Development Stage

Duration: Begins around 25–30 days after sowing Farmers are trained to manage tillers effectively, as additional stems sprout from the main plant, enhancing overall productivity.

4. Panicle Initiation Stage

Duration: Around 40–50 days after sowing This is when the panicles (flower-bearing structures) begin to form. Proper care and irrigation are crucial at this stage for healthy grain development.

5. Flowering and Pollination Stage

Duration: 50–65 days after sowing The plant flowers and pollination occurs. We ensure that conditions are optimized for successful pollination to maximize grain yield.

6. Grain Filling and Maturity Stage

Duration: 70–120 days after sowing Grains mature and the crop changes color, indicating readiness for harvest. We guide farmers on the best harvesting practices to preserve grain quality.
